I have a couple of programs downloaded that won't let me open them until I sign in as Administrator. How do I do that?

Right click the program and choose 'Run as Admin'.

Unfortunately, that doesn't work. It doesn't give me an option to sign in as administrator.

I have to ask - what programs are these that require you to start them 'As Administrator'? Legitimate programs do not normally require this.

OK, let's back track a bit. The program(s) is/are installed already? Maybe post up a screenshot. Which OS are you running and what are the programs? Then we move on.

One was Samurai, I can't remember the other one because I tried to open a week or so ago.

Running Dell Vista 64-bit, MSE, Word2010.

No worries. I booted Samurai yesterday and will boot the other when I come across it again. As Earthling said, they might not be valid legitimate programs even though Samurai shows up in many places.

Many thanks to both of you for your help.
