Steam week sale, what did you grab?

Come on, those of you with steam MUST have bought something this past week :-D

I picked up...
GTA pack (All major GTA titles with expansions) for $12.70
Tom Clancy's End War for $2.49
Silent Hill Homecomming $9.99 (I thought that seemed a bit pricey but it's normally $39.99!)

Also saw LA Noir for $29.99 as was Rage but I've bought quite a lot of games the past couple of months, since Mimsy convinced me (in a round about way :-D ) to get steam, yeah I'm blaming her :strong

So, what deals did you get?

 

I actually didn't get a thing. Very few games that I actually want went on sale, and there is another huge one coming up here in about a month or so... but I did grow my wishlist quite a bit.

And the word you're looking for is "credit", not "blame". You credit me for helping you discover this wonderful way to feed your gaming addiction.

 

That is very true, I credit you and thank you...., unless the conversation involves the topic of spending monetary units to facilitate my vice .... in which case it remains "Blame" :-D

As for another sale, I can't afford another sale!.. :-D

 

THere were some great deals but still too expensive for me to buy them. Also i have to wait til Xmas lol

 

It will go on sale again for their big Holiday bash. They always include Rockstar.

 

Sims3! and two expansions!

 

They do it around Christmas every year. I'll let you know when it kicks off, in case you miss it.

And I see Skyrim is on for $40 which I already have but those of you thinking about it, $20 off!

lol I just picked it up too, I just finished the purchase and then loaded up MG's to tell you, man I'm hours too late. :-D
Also picked up Dead Island for $24.99

I love steam.

Edit: Oh dear lord! I just noticed I have bought 63 games since Oct 4th!... Damn Steam!.. it's just too easy :cry

 

You'd think the fact they call their customers "users" would have been a clue...

I am now at the point where I already have most of the big names they discount on daily deals, so I didn't buy much this time. But I did get both Eschalon books, Avadon, and then, because it would make The Guy happy, I bought Civilization V, GOTY Edition, for $17.

 

Oh I've got too many games on the go lol

As for issues with LA, I'll let you know, I installed it overnight and it's ready to go, all I have to do is find a way to get the missus off the puter :-D

I have been playing Rage lately and oh man has that game got some screen tearing issues, can't figure it out, tried online remedies but no effect, guess I'll have to wait for a patch or some such.

 

Well been playing for about 4 hours now and so far no glitches or crashes.
The only thing I can think of that was a little annoying was as I went to get into my car a truck took my door off and didn't even stop to swap insurance information :-D

Great game, lot of fun and very unique, GTA meets CSI. Very well done.

 

My guess is the same thing applies here as with any other PC game: If you wait a few months, the issues are patched away.
