ComboFix Issue

Hello,

I had the pc antivirus 2012 malware and cleaned that off, but my MSE had been turned off and some other malware had been detected.

I thought I had cleaned everything and then my MSE starting having problems

My MSE was detecting and removing the same 2 viruses over and (siref and something elese)

I ran combofix and it ran thought everything, restarted and locked up.

Now when I reboot it says "USB device over current status" and the computers shuts down after 15 seconds.
I've tried to get into safe mode but it's not working.

I'm guessing that it's part of combofix restart and it's stuck..any thoughts on how to get windows back?

 

First you need to address this potential hardware/electrical problem. See >> USB Device Over Current Status Detected

I would first start by removing all USB devices from the computer (except keyboard and mouse if you are using those)

Sirefef is a rootkit but it would not be causing this message you are getting.
