HVE.exe error

    Ok, so my firewall auto-detected my hve.exe file with a Heuristic Virus named WS.Trojan.H and quarentined it. This stopped me from opening ANY exe files whatsoever. I don't know how to fix it without putting the supposedly infected file back, where it'll instantly be re-seen and re-quarentined anyway. Help?

    Download the below file to your Desktop. Once saved on your Desktop, Right click on it and select Install

    EXEfix

    Then see if you can run EXE files. Let me know. There are other procedures I want you to follow soon.

    Hi,

    Try the below:

    http://img406.imageshack.us/img406/3189/windowsrepair.gif Download Windows Repair by Tweaking.com and unzip the contents into a newly created folder on your desktop on the PC with the infection.

    Open up this newly created folder and then open the "files" folder (...\windows repair v1.5.7\files)
    From here, locate the fix_exe_hijack.inf file and then Right-mouse click it one time, then choose "Install".
    Once you have done this, you should now be able to open applications again.
    Let me know if that did not work either.
