Speccy Question.

Hey Guys,
I was directed by David to download Speccy to get the specs for my new laptop. I ran it and got my report. Now is there a way to get rid of some of the things in it before I upload it?

You mean remove information about what your hardware is? Perhaps if you save a report as a .txt file, which you can then edit.

 

Likewise, you can edit a .txt file,,,,but why?? This kind of defeats the purpose of using Speccy. Once you have a report you can compare it to future reports.

 

Well, Spock wouldn't want to post his key or MAC address publicly, I assume that's the reason.

 

Exactly. So could I change the file extension to a .txt and edit it? or would I have to redo it and save it a a .txt file?

 

Click on 'file' and choose 'save as txt file when in Speccy...'.:confused
