I am sure many of you remember Age Of Kings 2. I love the game and play it from time to time.

My Cd-Rom reader is broken so I used my sister's comp to copy the files onto a flash drive. And the game installed ok. Trouble is, it is asking for the cd to be put into the cd-rom reader. Any way to change where the game reads from?

    Honest answer: Yes. :)

Legal and not-getting-MG's-owners-in-serious-trouble answer: We can't help you with that here. :(

Games that require the CD to be used, look for the disk as a part of the DRM/copy-protection of the game, meaning that the only way to play without it typically involves circumventing the game's built-in DRM, and, well, if I post instructions on how to do that here, then the site owners can get in legal trouble for having information on their forum that can be used for pirating games. Obviously, in your case you're not doing that. You own the game. Unfortunately, the rest of the internet can also read my post, and they're not nearly as honest. ;)

I think it's okay for me to tell you that if you get a complete image of the CD and mount that in a virtual CD drive, you can play the game that way. I'd prefer not to risk anything by giving you directions on how to make that happen though. :)

Thank you for replying. I didn't mean to get anyone in trouble. I'll look elsewhere.
