Can someone please help me with a C++ compiler, i`ve spent the last 30 minutes looking for one, and still haven`t got one.I want one with cross platform expandability, and i DL minGW but it sucked. And i don`t know which other one to use.
I should be programming by now:( or at least getting in a strop doing so:-D

    cheers

I a very nice one but a big download with security updates is Visual Studio C++ express which is free.

Was going to mention Code:Blocks also but I see you already are using it. :)

Looked at VS but it`s just making microsoft based stuff and i didn`t want that, i wanted cross platform.

Basically C++ is a cross platform language. This fact has nothing to do with the used compiler. Also Code::Blocks is an IDE and not a compiler. Don't mix it up.
You could download Code::Blocks + MinGW in one, where MinGW is the Windows-optimized GCC compiler.

An IDE has the compiler with it, or atleast code blocks does.

No. You can download and install Code::Blocks without a compiler and you can use it for a few different C++ compilers (such like GCC, VC, Borland, Digital Mars etc.) or just to develop your code without a compiler.

You can use Visual Studio to make cross-platform software. Check out this CMake page.
