i have:
7 home prem. 64 bit
q9400 @2.667 x4
16g ddr3 @~10533
geforce 465gtx 1g @256 ddr5
dx11

the spash screen displays bit its a choppy intermitten black, logos then the main menu is just a black screen
any ideas how i can play the game?
i have done
1 run as admin
2 admin+ compatability mode xp sp 3, 2, windows
diabled visual themes and the dpi option

my idea vmware8, xp sp2
any ideas or suggestions?

 

i installed .net framework 4
and sp1 for 7
restarting now

Uninstall the game, and then reinstall it in compatibility mode for XP, SP2, and As Administrator. Also make sure you have the correct version of DirectX installed. If in doubt, let the game installer install it for you.

 

wasnt sure how to install it with compatibility, so i ran the wizard from the context menu about compatibility, was this the correct way?

 

Does running games in compatibility mode really work? For some reason that has never been of any help to me in the past.

 

It has helped me several time sin the past, but it does depend on the game and how it's coded and installed. It's a case-by-case thing, in the end. Unfortunately.

 

DL a copy from tpb, used my cdkeys instead of the crack installed, patched to 1.68 after both expantions installed cep 4.0 updated nvidia driver, updated directx, .netframework4.0(i think that the version) giving it a try

 

it worked muhhahahhaha
