cant uninstall

im trying to uninstall a program and keep geting "the patch could not be opend" any help thanks

 

What OS are you running?

What program are your trying to install?

Are you uninstalling it because it broke or just because you don't use it anymore?

 

im running windows xp. i want to uninstall a peoplepc internet i did use..

i got new internet.. im trying to clean up some of the programs i dont use.

 

yes... i go to programs click remove and this message pops up..the patch could not be opened.. verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the applicantion vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer patch..

 

Or you can try re-installing peoplepc, then uninstall peoplepc.

 

i dont have another install disk.. for peoplepc. i can remove other programs no trouble..im just trying to clean up some programs i dont use.. theres alot of programs im araid to remove not knowing what there for..

 

You can go to safe mode first, then try uninstalling or delete.

thanks for the info, i tryed it i still get the pop up unable to uninstall.

 

OK here is a tool that will help i use it regularly Iobit Uninstaller it will delete all of the Reg as well.http://majorgeeks.com/Iobit_Uninstaller_d6427.html Then after that clean out the Temp Folder as well Go to start then run the Type or copy or past this %temp% then in the folder delete every thing in there.That iobit can force uninstall programs as well.
