Welcome to the forum Jay:) I've never heard of changing a motherboard serial number before may I ask what your trying to achieve?

If you mean you need to flash a new bios you will have to make a bios boot disk as per the manufacturers instructions or if modern enough you can update the bios via Windows.

Here is a link to the CF-19 bios update page

    http://www.panasonic.com/business/toughbook/computer-support-bios.asp#CF-19

Unfortunately if you would like advice to change your serial number in bios to make your windows installation work I believe they are hard coded into the chip at the factory or at least the software used to imprint the serial number so specialised its not available anywhere, programming bios's is also above my level of knowledge and we are not allowed to help people bypass Windows license restrictions anyway.

If this is the case I would contact Microsoft to see if they can help you validate your copy of windows.

    Just found a link-

If you have a phoenix or award BIOS, you can try Phoenix Bios Editor but I am not responsible if you brick the computer.

Panasonic does have a software used for assigning the model number and serial number to a motherboard when replaced without using any bios editing software. Been looking for it for similar reasons and its not easy to acquire for the CF19 series.

You can try the instructions located here. Although they're for a CF-18, they may work for the CF-19.

    Hope this helps. :)

Actually that is the procedure for resetting the bios password only. The serial number does not get affected and cannot be reset in anyway.

Did you ever get access to Panasonic software or anything else that would fix your serial number?
