Today Cloudy. Snow beginning near noon. Amount 10 cm. Wind becoming east 20 km/h early this afternoon. High zero. Tonight Snow. Amount 5 to 10 cm. Wind east 20 km/h becoming light late this evening. Wind becoming northwest 30 gusting to 50 before morning. Low minus 4. Saturday Snow ending in the morning then cloudy with 40 percent chance of flurries. Clearing late in the evening. Wind northwest 30 km/h gusting to 50 becoming light late in the evening. Temperature steady near minus 5. :tasIt is not so much the snow, it is the wind that blows it around and causes white-outs on the highways... bad for travelling....

Well that is my rant for today..

We got ours yesterday. Started around 11:30 last night with little pellets of snow/ice, then changed over to snow. Woke up to about six inches of heavy, wet, ugly nastiness everywhere.

Not bad weather in this part of the world.

That said, it has been stinkin' hot up to Fri. Hoping that we are done with the 38-42C temps. for the year.
Our Autumn sucked royaly last year, which was just basically one long continuation of summer.rolleyes

We are finally getting some snow in Cranbrook. It's been sporadic this winter. Temp is just below freezing, which is where it's mostly been since New Year's. Ski conditions have been surprisingly good, but the hill close to here in Kimberley is in a bit of a snow belt.

Easy at times yes.... but when it gets nasty ...it really gets nasty in spurts... and we don't like that....rolleyes

Spring? In Houston, we haven't even seen winter yet.

* I think the lowest low temp. has been around 32F (Zero C) on two or three days in Jan.

* A small tornado hit about a mile from my house on Jan. 9th - the first tornado reported in the US in 2012.

* The weeds in my yard are growing like...well, weeds. I'm thinking they're a new mutant strain of dandelion since the Weed and Feed I spread three weeks ago hasn't done a damn thing to stop them so far.​

 

hmmm.... Houston has a problem... It's the weed conspiracy....:-D It is going down to [ minus 13 celsius ] tonight... brrrrrrrrr......Snow has stopped so far, but will start again on Monday mixed with rain... :cry
