Realtek High Definition Audio Driver Win 7 2.67 Problem?

So I decided to update my drivers for Realtek High Definition Audio.

I installed it and now my front panel isn't working/picking up my speakers which were previously working on the front panel. The back panel works though how can I fix this?

 

Forgot to put Motherboard info here it is Gigabyte M68MT-S2.

Firstly

in to bios the audio is enable ? Check this

The right way is to uninstalling the driver completely helped by this tool

run it in normal mode uninstalling the sound drivers you have to reboot your machine even run in in safe mode again cleaning all audio driver's leftover , after this process go to this page

Choosing os ( opereating system ) and install the driver you need !!

I thought the way Realtek installed did the same thing because they remove the previous drivers and then install the drivers selected?

 

Uh well problem solved but did you mean make sure it is checked?

Because I enabled it and my front panel now works correctly.

Well, glad you got it sorted. I do not have HDD manager. I thought that if "Disable front panel jack detection" was checked it would cause the front panel to be disabled so I did say to uncheck the box, but I guess the opposite is true. Thanks for that feedback.

 

Yeah lol that's what I thought but someone had made a thread like mine on the Realtek support forums and they said to do the same. So I thought it couldn't hurt to try right?
