My tablet got a real pain in the *** trojan that AVG continued to find over and over. I finally used a malware removal program and the problem was fixed.

Now I cannot connect to the internet. I see that the program has disabled the following processes:

    CLIStart.ext
    HIDMon.exe

    svcs.exe
    afd.sys

Is the afd.sys process being disabled what is keeping me off of the internet?

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks!

Hi and Welcome to the forum, malware is a pita of a thing and at times while an all in one malware removal app may get rid of the main malware it may not fix all of the issue, which is why the below and out malware experts maybe able to help, dont know how the guide works on tablets but it should work similar.

    So do follow the below

If they give you an all clear post back to this thread and we can try some other things, but its worth being malware free first.

None of the programs listed were installed.
    I emptied AVG vault.
    32-bit Windows 7.
    Hidden Files view-able.
    MS-Config in Normal setup.
    No Malware in Add/Remove Programs.
Used a full version of SpyHunter and it removed the issue. (Avg no longer finds the trojan either) It disabled CLIStart.exe, HIDMon.exe, svcs.exe, and afd.sys.
My internet does not work now.

What should my next step be?

    Thanks again!

    Hi

Yes the quote in my post earlier is the advice to take and as you now know to run the apps the guide mentions, and then attach as mentioned the logs in the malware forum area in a new post and have our malware experts look over your logs to see if mawlare is still present, as loss of internet is a prime malware issue.

Not all AIO malware apps as AVG or SPYHunter will remove all malware.

I have posted a reply on this thread as well as a new thread in Malware section with my logs. Neither have been published....I posted them over 8 hours ago. Any reason for this?

Any use of more than usual punctuation such as "..." or "!!" will throw your post into moderation as a new member, so you should stay away from those.

Depending when you post, it can take longer if a moderator is not on...late night (US time) will be the slowest as far as that.

When your post does go into moderation, please do not repost.

I see thisisu has responded to your Malware post. Continue in that thread with your issue.:)
