DuckDuckGo v. Google Search article.

Over at Search Engine Land.

In the few months that I've had DDG set as default search provider I reckon it's saved me several hours of 'filtering time'; there are still search types where Google does better - simply add !G to the front of your DDG search and you get Google's results.

I enjoy DDG also enough to add to the home systems and found !Gi will search Google images. Here is the DDG matrix
