Questions about Windows Firewall and Privatefirewall Alerts

During system bootup, an Alert dialog was displayed which reported that Windows Firewall had blocked "some features" of
    OpenDNS Updater.

Windows Firewall is deactivated and I confirmed that setting.
Windows Security Center shows that Privatefirewall is currently ON.

I have never seen an alert like this before.
I have been using OpenDNS for at least a year and Privatefirewall for about 4 months.

Why would I get this alert when these have been in use for such a long time?

Also, is there a way to reduce the number and/or frequency of alerts from Privatefirewall during Install and Uninstall
    operations?
Sometimes I will get as many as six alerts during such a process, which interferes with the normal functioning of those
    operations.

    Thanks.

Before installation of a program, just put Privatefirewall in Trainig Mode. Right-click PF tray icon and choose Trainig. It stays turned on for about 10 menute, just enough for PF to get along with new program. If an installation is more complex, you can turn on Trainig Mode for a longer period in Privatefireasll's settings. You nust not forget to turn off Training mode when you don't need it. Cheers

I've had occasions when I've had to start Windows Firewall, set it to allow a specific application and then close and disable it again. Then the 3rd party firewall takes full control again.
