My suggestion is replace the fan (they are not expensive) because this looks as though there is a short circuit in the connector and if you leave it you could end up needing a new motherboard.

May be my 500 watt psu is getting pushed to the limit.

But i think it might have had bad wiring it was a msi fan that came with the case.

I have a GTX 550 ti Super Clocked 300 Watts
I have 8 gig's of Rip jaw memory
AMD Athlon X2 Dual core at 65 watts
    Then i have 4 120mm fans and a 80mm fan on my heat sink.aad

I had 5 120mm fans be for the msi fan plastic skin started to melt.

I disconnected the 120mm fan be for it caught on fire and the rest of the wires next to it.

I am one of the few who has a really good nose lol.

Could i be pushing my psu's power limit.

Not sure how this got from hot fan wires to the PSU but having looked at what you are running off a 500 watt you are certainly heading for a big meltdown .
You need a min 750 watt to be comfortable with the power needed to run the rig and i do not know if you leave your rig on overnight but if you do it could spontaneously ignite.

I think the Readings might be inaccurate.

I was looking at a 620 watt PSU but if i upgrade my cpu here soon then i will need some thing bigger.

Yes i disconnected the fan yesterday be for it started to catch fire.

I am all so starting to thing that it was cheap low grade wireing from the fan.

Low grade wireing can cause melting and fires too be cause they can not handle the stress.

And like this fan that whent bad is from the new case i got i came with three so i am thinking the other fan might go bad like that too.

I use to leave it run on full power all the time but in the last 4 or 5 months i have been making the computer go into stand by mode after about 45 mins of not being used.Screens will turn off after 15mins and i kept HD's on.
