Toe Nail Polish

I do a different colour every week, all of them the most obnoxious ones I can find. I've currently got screaming bright purple (almost fluorescent), but it's horribly chipped. Next I was actually thinking of going with green, although mine is more of a lime than what you've got. :-D

I do it for my own amusement, mostly. Because it makes me giggle a lot knowing that inside my beat-to-heck work boots my toe nails are bright orange (or blue, or red, or fuschia...whatever I've chosen). Also, the more obnoxious the colour, the better my odds of picking it up from the "we want this stuff gone" bins for way cheap. :-D

 

:cry :cry :cry :cry My green is dried up! Also my orange, and the best blue. Which means I must need to cruise the nail polish section the next time I'm at the store. Of course, if I bought quality nail polish instead of the cheap stuff, I probably wouldn't have to replace it every summer, but whatever.

I don't really do the actual neon colours, just the obnoxious ones. LOL Here's what I currently have to choose from. I'm leaning toward the chrome purple, since I don't have any green. Or maybe the blue. :-D

I like that color, Laura, but I wouldn't wear it. It's too bright for me.

I have a nice silver color that I've been using topped off with a clear topcoat w/sparkles. Although, noone usually sees it as I next to never wear open toed shoes :-D

I was looking for a cheap variety of nail polish for my toes, but when I came across this colour I had to have it! It was difficult to work with as it's very thick and wouldn't stick to the nail at first, but now that it's on, it wears incredibly well!
"Nicole by OPI A Lit-Teal Bit of Love"... "is a vivid blue foil with very small silver foil pieces that brighten the overall appearance of the color. I really like this one, but I find the name lacking! This is not a teal!"

LOL Sorry. It was in the Meijer ad. Which is a store you probably don't have.

 

My daughter never goes a day without it! She has that color but it's flat, not pearl. She has every color in the rainbow, I have pink, red, pale gold - about 10 shades of each.

Did I mention that she is 5 and has painted her own toes since she was 3? Last night she put on a darkish blue and topped it with purple sparkle. I might be jealous, it looks really good. Maybe it's easier for her since she is so close to her toes and her hands are steadier than mine -- no coffee for her!

I better touch up my pink color before I head out!

 

Well, I missed the Nicole sale, but I did find a bunch of obnoxious colours on sale at the store last night! :-D I originally bought the fluorescent green for my niece, but I'm keeping it. LOL

Oh lord, I didn't even think about it! Oddly, when I was a teenager and had umpteen fluorescent shirts (what WERE we thinking?!?), I never wore the nail polish. LOL

I'm just now drying in front of the fan...today's choice is the teal, and what I didn't realize is that's it's kinda sparkly! Not only that, but I actually get to go out wearing sandals for once, so it's not just for me! :-D

Laura, while I usually do my own, I do thoroughly enjoy getting the periodic pedicure. Theirs always looks a thousand times better than mine. :-o
