Here is the result from speccy. Im just wondering why does Dota(Frozen Throne) runs slow on my PC when i have 2GB of ram but im not sure about the grahics card.. i dont have it so if someone could tell me what does that 1024 on memory means.

I have no virus or malware. (regular maintenance)
I have a huge HD free space.. so im wondering why it doesnt run so good.

Well, you don't have a graphics card, what you do have is a built-in Intel graphics chip. Currently it looks like it's set to use 1GB of your 2GB system memory, you may see better results if the graphics memory was reduced to, say 512MB, as it will allow XP and the game more RAM to work with. The memory allocation can be changed in the computer's BIOS.

Thanks i will try it now :)

But it was default to use 1GB of memory?

Hmm i checked my bios under chipset tab i saw the adjust shared memory and it was set to auto. i think that explains why i have 2GB ram but displays only 1.75. Anyway i saw DVMT something and it was set to max. is that it?

Your help is very much appreciated if this will work :)

But i was just wondering if ever that DVMT was responsible for that, why it was set to max and will consume 1GB of chipset memory? What will be the effect it it was maxed out?

I don't know what the default graphics allocation is for your motherboard.

I don't think your system meets the requirements to play this game, certainly not in the graphics department, CPU is borderline.

Sir that is DOTA 2 it really needs high PC specs as far sa i know

I am only playing Dota 1, the old one. I can play it 85% Good but on heavy skills it lags.

Anyway lets get back to the topic. About the chipset memory? If it was set to 1GB and i have 2G (1.75) then i only have 768 ram running?

If Windows gives the memory as 1.75GB then the graphics memory is only allocated 256MB - a more normal amount, often the maximum allowed, for that chipset. The 3rd party software you used to scan with made an error.

Yes, I gave the specs for DOTA 2 :( I can't see the specs for DOTA 1 but I would guess your CPU and RAM are fine, the graphics chipset will be the limiting factor, There is nothing I can think of, except reducing in-game graphics quality and desktop resolution, that will increase the speed of the game.

You would do good to add more RAM to your system. Speccy reports you have one slot free. According to your motherboard specs, your board supports up to 8Gb in dual channel mode. You currently have 1 x 2Gb installed. If you installed another 2Gb stick for a total of 4, not only would this result is a lot more RAM for your CPU and Windows to play in (easing the banging on your slow hard drive's Page File) but it will allow your graphics solution more leg room too. And finally, with two "matched" sticks, your motherboard will enable dual-channel memory architecture for nearly double the bandwidth for RAM data transfers. A very good thing.

I recommend visiting Crucial and let their RAM wizard scan your computer to determine what RAM your system will support. You need to get something near identical to what you have for dual-channel to work.
