I recently had to remove a browser redirect from another PC, and figured while I was at it I may as well check my PC, too (same house, same users). So I ran Hijack This 2.0.2 on my own PC just for grins. It came up with these entries:

When I remove the hijack ones (its, res, tv, wia) and re-run Hijack This, I get these instead:

I've been futzing around with fixes for the past week before posting here, so I've already run the following, both in normal mode and safe mode, to no avail:

Ad-Aware (full AV scan, then I removed it)
AVG2012 (full AV scan, no bad files found)
    RKill
    CCleaner
    SuperAntiSpyware (nothing found)
    MalwareBytes (nothing found)
    Spybot S&D 1.6.2 (nothing found)
    ComboFix (nothing found)
    CWShredder (nothing found)
    MBRCheck.exe (everything comes up fine)
    TDSSKiller

Per the sticky post, I downloaded and ran the following:

RogueKiller.exe - this *failed* to run completely. It ran partway through and crashed, and subsequent runs through pop up an error reporting dialog, but regardless of what I choose to do it closes the program instantly.

HitmanPro 36 (only found some tracking cookies; I removed them)

    Malwarebytes

    MGTools

I've attached my HJT log and my most recent TDSS Killer, MGTools, and Malwarebytes log files.

I don't know what, if anything, these files are doing, but they don't seem benign so I'd like to get rid of them.

(Possibly) very important note: my PC runs Japanese Windows XP Home. The PC itself is also Japanese. My native language, however, is English, which is why I'm checking in here and not some Japanese language support site. So if you see some Japanese in my logfiles, it's not necessarily an error or malware.

Thanks ahead of time for your help!

What actual malware issues are you having?

I don't see any specific issues. I'm just concerned by those recurring hijack entries and I'd really like to get rid of them.

I don't know that they are anything to be concerned about. If you want, post in the software forum where you may get someone who is familiar with that issue.

Okay, I'll post it over there.

Hope they can help you. But as I said, I doubt it is anything to worry about. ;)
