keyboard issues

not sure that this really the place for this but I have been having some symptoms. I am not really sure what the cause is, but It is prolly software related but it involved my keyboard.

It is like one of the action keys get stuck but it is not phyically stuck. I can take the battiers out of thee keyboard and the OS-keyboard acts the same way. Also my mouse seems to act up but only while in League of Legends.

I am using a pixxo KB and a GE wireless mouse on a win7x86 machine. I have no idea what is going on. I can't really recreate it, but it only happens while I play that game. i have unintlled it and my drivers and asked their tech support and they have not encountered the problem before. Any ideas?

What exactly happens? Does this only occur in one game? Does it reoccur in non-game programs like Microsoft Word?

 

I have not noticed it when not running the game however it has an effect outside the game. Pushing esc causes the game to minimize. Pressing R brings up run. Other odd things like that. I also cannot type in game. I have not tried to bring up word or anything like this happens usually i am in game at a bad point so I restart the computer and hope I don't get killed. Next time It happens I will try to gather more info and specifics. If I press both shift keys I can use my mouse in game. Still cant type and other weird things still happen. I'm gong to try to reinstall drivers now.

 

problems persist although i did recreate it outside of the game so it probably has nothing to do with the game. Wordpad acts weird just like if i was not in it. The on screen keyboard does not show any buttons down during this anomaly. Thats bout all the info i have.

 

Do you have Sticky Keys enabled or any accessibility programs running on the computer?

What anti-malware programs are you running on the computer? When was your most recent scan and were the results clean?

 

no sticky keys active no accessibility options are anything but default. I am using panda free anti-virus and malwarebytes premium. I also downloaded IObits Malware fighter. I have ran scans on all and got nothing but the usual tracking cookies. I even bought a new combo pack today(kb + mouse) and nothing has changed. It is a different brand


it seems to happen randomly. it never boots like this. I have checked random things like cooling problems(these can cause strange things to happen) but my system is clean, my fans all work, and my internal temps are fine.


this has to do something with windows 7, usb, wifi, and wireless keyboard+ mouse. maybe wireless interference with the keyboard and mouse? both act up a lot. I can press both shift keys together and the mouse stops acting up, but the keyboard still brings up random stuff. R brings up run other keys bring up other stuff. any ideas? It is not possible for me to use an Ethernet cable because of where i am in the house.

 

I don't have any real input other than that Windows key + R brings up Run. And you said in the software thread that hitting the Windows key seems to correct the problem. So it seems that something may be going on with that key. (I realize we are talking three keyboards here so I don't have any solution)

Take a quick look at this list of Windows shortcuts. Are most of your experiences related to shortcuts that include the Windows key? Are any of your keyboard experiences not related to shortcuts involving the windows key?
