I have been staring at and writing code for the last two hours. I swear...my brain melted and drained through my nose. That, or I am getting a cold :(

To think I am going to school for this.

I love it, but it drains my brain until I am an empty shell, with drool running down my chin.

I hate programming, for the reason that I don't think my brain works the correct way to be a programmer.:-o:-D;)

I hope you don't drool on your keyboard. :-D

I hate getting sick. My brain just doesn't want to function at all when I sick, not that it functions that much when I'm not sick though LOL, and all I want to do is lay in bed like a miserable lump. Fortunately for me, I seem to have a super immune system where I only seem to get miserable lump sick maybe once every four years.

I haven't been sick in over 6 months. This just came over me :(

    Blech.

Sounds like my entire class. I think I am the only one who has a 99.35% in the class. Everyone else is somewhere between a B and a C, I think.

Have you ever tried that Zicam stuff? If taken at the beginning, it's supposed to shorten the duration of a cold. I know people that swear by it. I tried it once but it didn't do anything, probably because it turned out to be a sinus infection instead of a cold. Stupid sinus infections rolleyes

I hope you feel better soon, man! I am a technology hobbyist; a teacher by trade. I am heading back to work in a few days.

It just hit me about 20 minutes ago. I haven't mustered enough will to look for medicine yet.

    Agreed, feel better my friend.

I'm more of the "let's take it apart" type of IT guy.

    You are welcome. :)

Well, then, I'd advise a good crawl into bed and have someone bring you some meds with a cup of OJ or some warm tea. Theraflu has this new medicinal tea (I tried the lemon one, it tasted similar to lemon tea) that while it doesn't taste amazing, isn't a disgustingly awful taste as most meds are.

The best thing to do in any case is get plenty of rest & fluids. Feel better soon!

    Ah.

In other words, you have endless amounts of patience :-D

My daughter started 4th this year. And GATE. And Orchestra. And Taekwondo. And soon Chess.

    Girl is running me ragged.

Yes. Very true. I like children a lot. My first born is starting college on Tuesday ( she is quite stressed out about that). My second daughter is starting grade 4. It is all good. :)

Probably cause your ruining the grading curve :p there is always one in every class.

These classes have no curve. It is straight points.

I haven't seen a grading curve in over a year now.

I know for a fact my coding skills are minimal. I can do some HTML. That's about it. Anything more complex, and my eyes start to glaze over. Even something as minimally difficult as setting up a CSS. I can see how it's supposed to link together, but when I try to do it, I get thoroughly flummoxed.

    I love this stuff.

So far I have had crash courses in HTML, CSS, SQL, Java, and Project Management.

Next on the list: Operating Systems, .net and other stuff.

Think my brain has given up over last 2 years as I cannot function at times, brain fade, muscle aches and in different areas, to just lethargy!

Bloods all normal so its likely malware .... who knows, but going to put myself on Charlie's diet of malware read and run me.

    WOW, thirty years - CONGRATULATIONS!!!

That's a good word. A lot of people get flummoxed trying to deal with CSS.

That's a Lot of stuff to absorb all at once. When you're young, it comes more easiliy, especially if you like it.
Which language are you working on now?

Hope you're over your malady by now.
dyamond is right. Lots of fluids.
Nothing works as well as homemade chicken soup. It's just magic.

It makes me feel better that I'm not alone.

Want to deal with the Cold quickly? Add some fresh Jalapeno's to the chicken soup. Burn that cold right out of your head.

I am not really sick anymore, but I can't shake the cough that came with it.

I was 38 when I went back to school.

I think that qualifies as younger. ;)

BTW, since you are doing Java, maybe you could see if anyone knows how to properly and completely Remove it from a computer.

Don't know if it's proper or improper to mention that. rolleyes

I've never tried to eradicate it, but being that you have to add paths to it or point IDEs to it suggests that if you did an add/remove and then deleted the install directory that virtually all of it goes. I only use JDKs, but the JRE included also is in that directory. As for browsers that may use JRE plugins, they have their own install directories and it will depend on the browser.

Not that I understand why people would eradicate java. It is an important thing to keep. As long as you keep it updated, and practice safe computing, you should be fine.
