Looking for a NIC card.

    Hey Guys,
    Think my Minecraft problems are being caused by my onboard NIC. My whole internet experience is lagging and that. Replaced everything but the router( which is fine).
    Since I'm running an on board, what should I look for in an expansion card NIC?:confused
    Running Win 7 pro on a Dell XPS 410.

    Not much. Honestly todays network cards are faster than your internet. I usually go Linksys (Cisco) and have for countless years.

    Okay, I was talking this over with my instructor and he pulled this card from an older machine in the back of the room. I'm not 100% sure it works, thinking it does. But, would it work?
    Machine Dell XPS 410.

    Don't care if it works. It does not support today's standards you would be going backwards. WAY backwards.

    I will be as nice as I can can be here so bear with me.... your instructor? Sure hope he isn't a computer instructor. Backwards is backwards. I would run my guide before I replaced the card. I gave you instructions to tweak it as you have not determined if the card is the problem.

    It has to be my card, I replaced everything else but my router. My router works fine with the other 4 machines.
