Order Pizza with Paypal

So, sometime us geeks have plenty of money in our Paypal but not enough in our checking account, right? Well, it happened to me anyway.

I wanted pizza, my boyfriend agreed, but interwebz searching led us to the sad conclusion that no pizza places accepted Paypal. I didn't want to wait 3 -5 days for my Paypal money, I wanted pizza NOW!

And so, <snip> was born a couple of days later. Our mission: let no geek have a pizza-less night ever again!

Yes, I want to promote to my site, but I also genuinely think it's a service people here might be interested in. Let me know what you think!

Anyone have a similar story about an event sparking a business venture?

Ok, sorry, thought it was kind of a win/win thing cuz people were likely to actually find it useful. I didn't spam my apps or anything ... (omgggg the urge to link to my app is nearly overwhelming!)

Haha, I kid. Should I delete it the entire thing or is it just the link to paypizzapal that needed to be snipped?

I saw your post in the welcome forum, so I gave you the benefit of the doubt.

We welcome everyone here and it's very cool you started a business online, however, we really do not allow any promotional stuff (so please refrain from posting your apps ;)).

Your post is fine, just don't link to your website.

Most of us just use our c/c, if the urge to eat pizza is greater than our cash flow. :-D

(And no - I never have. No pizza can make me use anything other than cash.;))

Neat idea; however I'm curious why more people don't get the free PayPal debit card that allows immediate access to your funds. If you use it at a merchant (as opposed to an ATM) I don't think there are any fees attached.

The debit card is only available to verified business or premiere accounts now.

In response to the cc comment; yeah, most people just use their cc I think. I, personally, got into some trouble with cc's years back. After finally paying them off, I vowed never to use them again.

It's not something that everyone is going to be interested in. For those that find themselves with paypal money and an appetite though, it's useful.

What about you guys, anyone else start a business in a similar way - by wanting something specific and not finding it and so creating it? What was it? How'd it work out?

LOL Yea, if there are certain things I won't get if I don't have cash. However, it's nice that you are able to use your CC if you are ordering a pizza for someone else that might be in another state or something.
