Making a smaller file size for Avatar?

    I am trying to get this file size down to 6kb without killing the quality. Quality is already bad. This is 14.8kb(JPEG). I want to preserve the 180 by 180 pixels. It is an Avatar that will appear next to a user name on another site I like to frequent so no compressing the file I believe.

    Any suggestions?

    Irfan View has a group of Plugins that you can download at the developer's web site

    One of the Plugins is RIOT, Radical Image Optimization Tool, which is accesed from the File menu as Save for Web (plugin), after the plugins have been installed.
    I downloaded your image and used the optimization adjusted to 75% quality and the resulting file size is 6,155 bytes.

    Here you go. Remember that avatars can afford quality loss because of their small size. There isn't much detail the smaller you go.
