Help!! I can't think of the word!!!

So I was having a conversation and went to say a word I've said a thousand times. Now this isn't normally a big deal but it's now driving me insane, I've tried reverse engineering it with searches of it's definition but cannot find it.

It's one of those words used to describe behaviour, and used as...

"I'm a..."

Ok this is how I describe the definition of the word...

I collect things, mostly things of little use or value, I have an invitation card from the first wedding my girl and I went to, I generally keep birthday cards and emails from my mother.
I keep trinkets from my past/childhood.
I would never trade a gift even if I don't like it.
I will keep something as silly as a beer bottle cap as a momento of an event that meant something to me.

Describe me, I'm a...

And it's not Nostalgic, I have a feeling it begins with "C", but I'm only maybe 50% sure on that.

Hoarder?
Accumulator?
Obsessive-compulsive?

 

No, none of those, it's a positive word, it's a good thing to be, well the reasoning is good :-D
More along the lines of "Nostalgic"

Ned were you looking for *sentimentalist*. "I am a sentimentalist", or some such?

As in noun

1. A predilection for the sentimental.
2. An idea or expression marked by excessive sentiment.

Kodo's *Saudade* is a good one. I often have pretty stupid things saved, like Easter egg bunny foil, little name tags from gifts, etc. They mean something to me, sometimes from people that have passed on. I get really ticked off when someone decides to do me a 'favour' and throws away my junk/memories. Most people just think I'm a strange man - which I probably am in some ways, I guess.:-o

I don't think it's stupid, probably because I do it myself. LOL I, too, keep all kinds of little things. For example, I was cleaning the other day and I came across a little plastic (for the lack of a better word) envelope, and inside were mementos from when I was in HS, old bus transfers with the date printed on them and I knew why I kept each one, tags from gift bags from friends, old letters friends and I typed to each other in type class, tickets & stubs to amusement parks and things. I have an plastic container that has every card I was ever given. I know many people throw away cards but I keep all mine. Sometimes, if I'm feeling a little bummed I like to re-read them. It's a nice pick me up.

 

I still have in my wallet the bus passes for Niagara Falls buses from 2008 when my mum and sister came to visit, last time I saw my sister.
I have great trouble throwing away things or parting with them, especially old PC parts, if they were mine parts then at one point I loved them, they were part of my baby.
Which is why I end up with a lot of crap :-D

I've had people say I'm weird, but everyone does something someone thinks is weird.
