Cursing is not allowed here. This is a family forum. :p:-D

Yes, to me, snow is a curse word LOL

We do not use the S word!

    Atleast not till Christmas time.

If I remember correctly we didn't have much of a White winter here in Pennsylvania this past year, so you might need that snow blower. My feeling is that we will get hit hard this year.

No, the S word is not allowed in our house either!

However I am very excited to use the snow blower.http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/189/f/7/_excited__by_cookiemagik-d2orqd4.gif

We didn't. We got lucky. I think we are going to get slammed this winter.:(

Just come over and visit me for 100 deg.F+ temps for five months. The only snow and ice you'll see is in the ice-box.rolleyes Mind you, it is spring-time now, and the weather is actually quite nice for once. Still a bit wintery, though.

In Houston, people freak out more over an inch of snow than a major hurricane. :confused

Not even at Christmas time http://i800.photobucket.com/albums/yy290/lotzasmilies/nonono.gif

My friend, a few years back, somehow cut his pinky off with a snow blower. Luckily (or unluckily depending on how you look at it) there was so much snow outside that he was able to keep it "on ice" until he got to the hospital and the surgeons were able to reattach it with minimal damage to the pinky.

I know you just really wanted to know that story :-D

I'm glad we all agree on the use of the "S" word though. LOL

You and your love of the tiny tiny fonts. :p
Only thing the S word is good for is Deer season.

What is snow? I thought it was an urban legend.

  20. Fred_G

    I had to Google it.

"1. Frozen precipitation in the form of white or translucent hexagonal ice crystals that fall in soft, white flakes"

    http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Snow

Soft white flakes, sounds harmless to me.

I didn't notice they were on the wrong side of the road until I uploaded it. Not gonna fool too many people here with that kind of sloppy work.:-D

It is 54º here. Time to break out the cold weather gear. :-D MMM Beef Vegetable and Beef stew... and a glass of Scotch. :drool

It's definitely crock pot weather.. bought a load of meats and things to make some roasts/stews. :yum

Ya, I've been doing the same down-under. Lamb shank stew, beef casserole; chicken curry hotpot. Except tonight - I'm baking multi-grain bread and Devil's Food cake, (just finished. Tried the bread - yummy!):yum. Frosted the Devil's Food Cake and waiting patiently for it to cool. So it's nearly 1:30 a.m., local time - any time is chocolate cake time :drool . ~ Still a bit wintery over here.
And Yep, Fred. I am partaking in Glen Moray, single malt on the rocks, too.;)

I've got some bbq chicken slow cookin in the crock pot. It's the first time I've done chicken in the crock pot so who knows how it will turn out. I don't think you can go wrong with cooking things in a crock pot though. :-D

I will be over for some of that cake! :yum LOL

Wow, two posts mentioning cake, and someone is missing... :confused

  38. Sgt. Tibbs

Dyamond, I do chicken in the crock pot all the time, and it always comes out wonderfully! What's funny for me is I use mine a lot more in the summer than in the winter, because I don't have air conditioning so using it cuts down on heat in my kitchen. In the winter, I want something simmering on the stove all day or baking for a few hours to provide heat. :-D

It was 80.9 wonderful cold today.

Started the AM at 67.9. Great for the day building Fire Truck with #1 Grandson at Home Depot.
