Possible virus

Hi,

Ok so I've moved house recently, got set up with broadband again.
Then I noticed a few issues while trying to play EvE online.

Now there has been a problem with this game because CCP changed how the handshake happened which resulted in alot of ISP's dropping the game off their whitelist as it now looked like a BitTorrent encrypted transfer which they don't like or something.

Anyway, In the course of trying to resolve that I noticed that all of a sudden the PC was runnign slowly and that the hard drive is turning over even though the PC is 'at rest' - i.e. I'm not doing anything andno programs are running on the PC
so here I am, running through the motions because the PC is now slow on start up and shut down (takes a good 5 minutes to shut down)
AVG anti virus is not running properly either - lots of @ symbols on the window when I open it and it doesnt scan properly

Malwarebytes found nothing

 

TDSS found nothing

 

Hitmanpro found nothing

 

MG tools found nothing either......

this is weird.....

i might check AVG again to see if it has sorted itself out, would a reinstall of AVG be a good idea?
