DIY glitter shoes!!!
I know, I know, it's not one of the ones I was going to try and make but I found this on, well, you know where (lol) and since it involved glitter & shoes (two of my favorite things) you all know I just HAD to try it. :-D End of work on Friday and off to the craft store I went!

My supplies; A old, unwearable (because of water damage) pair of shoes (ones I wore in the rain and apparently wasn't supposed to LOL), Mod Podge, glitter, & spray adhesive (to seal the glitter).

I rinsed it out and mixed the glitter & mod podge together in here because it just happened to be lying around (it's not like I had just finished eating it or anything :innocent). I used a sponge brush to apply the goo.

First coat,make sure to smooth it out so doesn't dry lumpy. I know it looks goopy but thankfully dries clear. It can take anywhere from 20-40 minutes to dry (took me a bit longer between coats to dry because my place is a little cold).

First dried coat of mod podge/glitter mix. You can see the difference already!

Finished product! I think I used 3-4 coats of the mix (plus one coat of the adhesive spray), although you can do as many coats as you like. I'm going to try this again with heavier glitter, the kind I used is really fine and, as you can tell, it changed the shade of the shoe but it didn't actually cover the shoe as I was hoping it would. I'm still pleased with the outcome.

This was probably one of the easiest projects I have ever done. I didn't even get glue or glitter everywhere!! :-D

What?! But glitter always ALWAYS goes everywhere. Even if you haven't seen glitter in months or haven't been somewhere in a long time there is glitter SOMEWHERE!!!

My memory isn't what it used to be,I've used a lot more spray adhesive than you.

Sometimes I've even stuck things with it:yum

 

Step AWAY from the spray adhesive..:-D
