I read about this earlier in the week,maybe we should take a leaf out of his book and do the same.

 

Great going man! I have call display and if I have discovered that's a telemarketer on the phone I don't answer or use the whistle that's lying beside the phone if I pick the phone in error. That always solves it immediately. Have call display. Sometimes I think that being on a do not call list, that these telemarketers sometimes get a hold of that list.

 

Here we call it 'caller ID'.

I like the idea of using a whistle, like a police whistle.

That would give them a good ear full. :-D

I also have one of those slide whistles that you hear sometimes in cartoons or comedy shows.
That would sure give them a surprise. :neener LOL

 

My land-line provider has supplied me with an option to avoid telemarketers. I
have a message that informs a caller that I do not accept telemarket calls.
This also discourages robo calls. A caller with their caller ID blocked is told to
dial "1" to let caller ID through, or the call will not go through, won't even
ring.

 

Oh boy, for a few $ one can get a fancy and loud plastic whistle. Yepper, their eardrum must not like it because they always hang up within a second or 2. Must admit that the whistle has not been used too often though and of course it won't work with robocalls.
