Trying to install win 8 x64

Im trying to install windows 8 x64 bit but the installation screen goes all funny. Here is a pic.

How about some details on your hardware? Make and Model? Include, if you will, video card details, HD size, RAM, processor info, etc.

What operating system is the machine running now?

Are you attempting an upgrade, or a clean install?

Thanks for replying cipher my desktop specs are:-

AMD Athlon 64 x2 dual core 4600+ 2.41ghz
4.00GB Ram DDR2 (3.37GB Useable)
500GB HHD
Asus Geforce gtx550 ti 1GB DDR5
Windows 8 32Bit

I am attempting to do a clean install

 

Does that "funny" display remain throughout the installation, or does it become clear from some point on (e.g. once the correct display driver is installed)?

 

It's throughout the installation on x64bit but it don't happen on the x32bit installation disc. Eventually it will stop the installation from working and throws up a corruption error.

it looks like there is a problem with NVidia graphics cards and awaiting a Microsoft fix.

 

Update:-

I have tried taking my graphics card out and running on integrated graphics and the graphics go but the installation disc wont install and giving me a error which I can't remember what it said. I think I'm going to stick to windows 8 32bit for now until there is a fix for the x64bit system.

 

Another Update -

I have decided to switch back to windows 7 x64 bit. I searched through the internet and there is quite a few people having the same problem I have spoke to Microsoft and they are working on the fix for the windows 8 x64 bit.

Windows 8 x64 don't like the Nvidia and AMD cpu combo.
