moved and now video is slow

Hello, last week I moved my desktop including the modem to another corner in my room. I opened the computer and vacuumed the incredible amount of dust inside as the tower was on the floor. Since I moved it, all my video from hulu, netflix, sidereel is super slow. I called centurylink and and they were unhelpful. I've upgraded java and adobe flash, I have a firewall; up from the last time I had the google redirection virus and I've run multiple scans and nothing. I was helped out of that mess here on this forum.

Has this ever happened to anyone? I have already resent the modem and I have the ethernet wire in and the only other thing is I have the xbox 360 to that modem too. I don't have cable so I watch everything on here, help and thank you in advance! :confused.

Chances are your gettting weaker signal strength on what ever jack your modem is now hooked to.

 

You may have also caused some problems, by hoovering it out, your supposed to use compressed air,

Well its all hooked up to the same jack everything...I mean its all wired and they just went around behind the furniture in a different location.

 

Ugh Do you really think that's possible. I had a huge fight with my husband that night because I told him lets use the compressed air!!

Could there possibly be any other ideas?

I have used both vacum/air to clean out my pc. Never had an issue, in fact the local computer store intown i used to work for would use a vacum on some of the more dirty cases. I wonder if your internet speed has gone down for some reason, use testmy.net and do a speedtest and post what your download/upload is.
