Upgrading my dead box

    Hey guys,

So about a year ago, my system mysteriously crashed while I was a work. It would no longer turn on, the fans would spin, some lights would go, but no dice on post, and I ruled out video card issues. This pretty much limited it to Mobo and CPU. It has since been collecting dust.

The original set up was :
    AMD 6000+
    MSI k9n Platinum Mobo
    2gb Ram Crucial Ballistix
    Nvidia 7950GT

I think it is about time for an upgrade, I have a budget of $200-$250 maximum.
I do some light gaming (MMORPGs such as Guild wars 2, Valve games half-life 2 and ect. and Skyrim)

I need a new MOBO, CPU, RAM and GPU

Here is the setup I have so far, wondering if you guys have any insight or comments.

    AMD A10 trinity APU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113280

    AMD FM2 A75 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130662

    G.Skill 16gb 1866 Ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231560

    What do you guys think?
To get a video card that could compare to the A10 it would have to be at least $100 (from what i could find) so for the CPU power and combined GPU I cant really come up with anything that beats its price for performance.

    Cheers,

Looks good, except the board reviews indicate higher speed memory may make the system unstable. I'd skip this potential hassle and stick with 1333 memory.

    Hope this helps. :)

Hm I did not notice that, though the reviews for the CPU said that the faster ram you have, the better it performs. Not sure which way to sway here...

As a general rule, overclocking using faster memory can make a system unstable. Although many people do so successfully, it can create headaches.

If you're willing to play around to get things to work right - and, in a worst case, send the memory back for an exchange to a slower speed - go for it.

Isnt that memory clocked at 2133 out of the box though?
