    Hi Guys

Does anyone know the brand name or proper name of this piece of exercise equipment. It is a springy / shakable weight. There is no writing or markings on it at all.

I want to look it up to find out the recommended exercise routines. I am also looking to buy a second one.

    Cheers in advance.

    J :)

Did anyone else think this was invented by a guy to see if women would actually use it and post videos of them using it to youtube?

Never thought they'd sell any of them.

LOL The first time I saw a commercial for this, it was the one with the guy using it. And I was at the bar. And it was during Saturday Night Live. Everybody in the place was dying laughing, assuming it was a skit on the show! LOL

I could write something 'iffy' on this thread with respect to my new fitness equipment and the last post but respect our Geeks forum.

Seriously guys, the thing does actually work and might help tone my bingo bat wings flapping around knocking things over;)

    :)

    That's me told:cry

Seriously it's a gimmick, there are two ways of getting rid of bingo wings low calorie diet combined with high calorie burning exercise and surgery.

The main trick most exercise gadgets use is to combine muscle building and calorie burning for example doing crunches or variations on them with a contraption will not remove fat and loose skin from your abdomen, it will build your muscles underneath the flab but you will never see them because you can't do enough of that one exercise to remove fat from your entire body.

Exactly, the old "Turn fat into muscle" is a myth, 2 seperate substances, to get a 6 pack you must not only build muscle, but lose the fat as well. My stomach is like stone... under the fat layer. Doing both at the same time is virtually impossible since you need protein to create muscle which also builds fat and cardio workouts don't build muscle.

This thing is not only a gimmick but is likely to cause repetitive injuries, it's a rapid violent movement on your wrist, elbow and shoulder joints, not to mention the uneven twisting of the spine and hips. Will likely build calcium deposits in the joints and cause pain.
Ask someone who works in a deli, rolling that slicer machine back and forth all day, it's a similar motion... go on, ask them how their shoulders are and get them to show you their muscles.

If you want to lose weight, stop eating sugar, pasta, bread and frozen foods. Just eat actual fresh food.
If you want to build muscle then work out with heavy weights a low reps for 20-40 minutes , 3-4 times per week.

I hate these kind of BS things, money grabbers on those who are simply too lazy to actually work at looking and feeling good.

It's the same with Shape up shoes and the like, I'll put it simply for all you guys out there, members or not.

There is NO SUCH THING AS A MAGIC WEIGHT LOSS PILL! In ANY form.
Fat will get burnt from moving around, muscle will get built from resistance.

Joint damage will come from rapid, strained repetitiveness.

    Here endeth the lesson.

    Ned:
Not a pill, but something happened to me.
    Jan,2010, I was 190lbs.
    Apr,2010, I was down to 145lbs.
A long gradual downward slide and today I am only 123lbs.No pills or exercise and no trying.
Weak as a 1 day old kitten.
I DON'T LIKE BEING LIKE THIS.
Would love to go back about 3 years.

That's kind of my point good Sir.
It's easy to drop weight with pills, illness, not eating etc.
Doesn't mean it's healthy, I think you and I had this conversation once before. What is happening to you doesn't seem good mate, hope what ever it is sorts it's self out soon.

Trouble is too many people concentrate on losing "Weight" instead of burning fat.
A girl I work with is sort of starving herself to lose weight, I'm kind of harsh and realistic with this stuff because it annoys me.
If you stop eating you will lose weight, but the weight you are losing is primarily muscle, not fat.
When your stomach starts rumbling, your body realises you have no sustenance, it then stores fat for later energy and starts burning muscle and since muscle weighs more than fat it delivers the illusion you are losing weight and becoming healthy. In actual fact this is less healthy in most cases than being over weight.

Actually, (for me) there is. I won't mention it by name (I don't want it to seem like I'm trying to sell something) but I took 2 little pills each morning (and I did not exercise, I did eat a little more healthy though) and 2 months later, I was 20 lbs lighter.

A bit of the backstory, I had been dieting & exercising for 4 months and seeing NO results, I even gained weight! (yea sure I heard it was from muscle but the last thing a girl wants to see when she is trying lose weight is for the numbers on the scale to go UP! :mad) So I posted an angry rant on Facebook and a friend contacted me and told me about the pills. She swore by them and i was skeptical because i had tried many other "weight loss" pills with no results. I figured what the hey I'll give it a try. I started taking them and at first nothing happened. Then after about 2 weeks, one day at work, I realized I needed a belt for a pair of pants that use to fit snug. 20 lbs later and I was a happy camper. I had no side effects, except a bit of a dry mouth sometimes but that just meant I wasn't drinking enough water. They are my magic weight loss drug.

Oh I know there are pills, hell there are a multitude of drugs that will drop your weight.
My point is more that whatever way you slice it, but each and every one of them is going to be detrimental to your over all health.
Go on a red bull diet and you'll be thin, but not exactly healthy.
The human body works how it works, trying to cheat it will always produce negative effects or not work as well as a good healthy lifestyle.
Funny thing is, it's not more expensive and it is pretty easy and not that much hard work to simply eat... real... food.

Surely you've seen one of These? . and that is pretty much the difference between chemical diets and ... well, food :-D

The pdf and support package my wife bought for $47 explains how the body works and how foods work with our bodies, it's all pretty logical, sugar makes you fatter than fat because your body burns the sugar first, which means less fat gets burnt. Things like that, but in great detail with masses of evidence to back it up, not to mention the fact it has worked for her, me and several other people I know in real life.

To each their own, glad it works for you and at the end of the day, as long as we're all happy is what matters.

the wife bought one and followed the regimen faifthfully for about a week.
now it lays faithfully on the floor under the TV
but it doesn't need to be fed, watered, or let outside at intervals, so all is well.
you might try the new BANANA DIET.
wife faithfully (again there's that word) consumed nothing but bananas for several weeks.
in the end she didn't lose much weight ( drum roll) but you ought to see her climb a tree :-D:-D:-D:-D

One of the best form of exercise(s), especially for women that want fitness and don't want to look like Schwarzenegger, are Isometric Exercises, i.m.o. We used them in military training and they work. Why? - Because body muscle groups are working against each other and building each other up, evenly. Either that or an immovable object, such as a wall, post, etc. There is rarely strains in this form of exercising because you are only working with your own body's muscles.
Oh yeah, and the cost is free. Some people try and charge for the "exercise program", but the info needed can be found free all over the 'net. No bulky, expensive gym equipment to stash away. Can be done anywhere.

Hey - it worked for Bruce Lee!...:major

I was eating real food :p usually I'd have a cup of organic cereal in the morning, a salad (and usually a little something else) with organic salad dressing in the afternoon and then I would have a reasonable dinner (usually chicken, or beef with a side). I drank (only) gallons of water, cut out all bad snacking and when to the gym 3-5 times a week and worked out between 1 & 2 hours. What results did I get?? Not a dang thing.

There is nothing chemical about what I took (but I agree with you about them, I've tried many and either got no results or unwanted onesl). The pills I took are all natural and there are 6, maybe 7, ingredients total and 3 of them are aloe, rhubarb & green tea. Part of how it works is its suppose to support/help your digestive system so you are processing what you eat properly. The people who I know personally who have taken it have had only success but like you said, to each his own, and not every regimen will work for every person because we are all different.

Ah, I assumed (never a good thing lol) you were talking more about appetite suppression, which is what they usually are.
Yeah, digestion is a big big part of the whole thing. That's one of the main reasons bread and pasta's are not good, they bind you up.
    And as you said, water!
A good amount is half your weight in lbs, drink in ounces.
So I'm 190lbs, there fore I should drink 80oz of water. +1 drink of water for every coffee you drink due to the dehydration properties of coffee.
This helps tighten skin and aids digestion.
