I've spent an awfully long time with people from England/Ireland. It actually is harder for me to type those words without the "u" added. Trust me, if I was "putting on airs", you'd know it.

Actually, now that I think about it, it goes back way further than that. When I was a kid I used to read a LOT of English literature (Dickens, primarily). I've been spelling with the English "u" since about the third grade.

 

Huh, had no clue the tiggers were going to a bowl game this year.

Got another one for you. Today I heard a co worker mention that someone was bringing their car by. The mechanic said 'good, I need to grab him and holler at him'.

Which of course means 'Good, I need to discuss a matter with that individual'. :-D
