Is there a reliable method to update Win7 offline?

A new win 7-64 machine I will soon attempt to build will have only dial-up internet access. It looks like the most recent win7 install dvd I can buy will at least contain sp1.

I'm not sure how large the updates have been since sp1 but I suspect some are just too large for dial-up.

In looking around for methods for updating off-line machines, it seems like there aren't any really simple ways or programs that are all that reliable.

Am I missing something that others have found?

    Thanks

It would be nice if there was a recent release of a Win7 service pack 2 out there.

There doesn't seem to be one upcoming...or nobody is talking about one anymore. Some people were expecting a SP2 back in mid-2012.

I don't think there will be one, I could be wrong tho. I expect patches/updates etc. until they stop support, but not a full on SP. They do need to sell Windows 8... ;)
