New Year resolutions

Happy new year to everyone at MG :wave and it is getting closer to making your new year's resolutions rolleyes

What are your New Year's resolutions going to be?

For me I am going to tidy out the workshop and in particular the computer graveyard where there is over 35 years of IT crap that was all "too good" to throw away rolleyes There are dozens of cases ranging back to old IBM XTs and 286s to parts from an old Apple Lisa (forerunner to the Mac.) and my first PC an Apple IIe Europlus with two single sided 5.25" soft sector floppy drives and no HDD and some old AMD K7 Thunderbirds that didn't survive overclocking :-o
There are boxes of old HDDs ranging from 10Mb up to a huge 100Mb and boxes of old 2X and 4X CD drives. Looks like I will have some new magnets
Boxes of floppy drives covering 8" and 5.25" and 3.5" formats, drawers full of high end graphics cards, piles of keyboards and boxes of mice and still it goes on and on............
I have kept this crap all these years and now I don't know what I was thinking :confused
Computer gear is now so cheap you just chuck it away when you are finished with it

So my resolution will be to clear out ALL the old computer gear from the workshop.:cool

 

I don't play that game. LOL

 

As opposed to every single person I know, who is resolving to lose weight, I'm trying to keep it realistic. This year, I resolve to be less of a b---- to my husband about things that aren't his fault.

 

I did in 2 parts. First was when I moved instate. Second was when I found paying $85 a month for storage was insanity. I filled the waste can each week and discarded games/CD-ROM way back to 1990. I had a floppy with .wav on them from "OK Soda". My nephew has been looking for them..... lost forever. :cry

Resolutions?

I resolve to again not make Resolutions. :-D

that's good - i resolved to be MORE of one to my own husband, so at least things will balance out between us!

 

So between the two of us, on average everything will remain just as it is?

 

pretty much. tho my husband may dump me for you....

 

Hehehe of course it counts as a resolution but it will be your last resolution.......unless like most resolutions, you don't keep it LOL

If you don't mind me saying (and you probably will), judging from your posts you take the internet (and likely the world) waaay too seriously. Thankfully this message board software gives me option to ignore people.

 

I don't see how Sgt. Tibbs copied you as you just wrote a screen resolution and she posted a card which was sent to her and has been around longer than your post. So unless you created the card then someone else came up with it before you and probably it is you who is doing the copying
