No matter which browser I am using, I can't change my search engine. I can go into search engine management and delete what is default at the time but when I put another one there the first time I use it it comes back. Also it won't change when I go up to it and click on the down arrow and select another one.

I fired up IE 9 on my 64 bit Win 7.
    1. Click the gear or if you are still using IE 8 then click the down arrow aside of the magnifying glass.
    2. Select Manage addons
    3. In the left pane, click Search Providers.
If Yahoo is not listed, then at the bottom left, click on Find more search providers.
You will get set to an iegallery site.
Click on Yahoo search then Add to Internet Explorer.
    4. Highlight Yahoo and towards the bottom right is a button that says Set as Default. Click that and close the manage Addon Window.
(Your default search engine does not have to be listed first. I use google and mine is listed 2nd but is still my default search engine).

    In FF 18.0
    1. Click the arrow to the right of the icon for the current search provider.
    2. Click Manage Search engines. Or if Yahoo is listed, simply click it, the icon now appears and it is your default search engine.
    3. If Yahoo is not a choice, in Manage Search Engines, you can select Get More Search engines. You can also remove the engines you don't want listed as choices.

I am afraid that you are reading my problem wrong. Yahoo is the search engine that it is stuck on, both IE and FF. If I click on anyother engine it will not change, even if I go into manage and delete Yahoo, it just keeps coming back.
