Mouse cursor clone on top left of my screen on Windows 8

There's a cursor clone on the top left corner of my screen. So there are two pointers on my screen, the actual and the clone on the top left, it mirrors everything I'm doing, if it's a regular arrow so is it, if it's a text cursor, it changes too...

I can't find anything related to such an issue.

If I'm playing StarCraft for instance, it also mirrors the same exact cursor I see in the game, it just doesn't move and it's always on the top left of the screen on top of everything else.

    Any suggestions?

Goldenskull I can't follow the rules

Try unplugging all the items in the usb ports and then plug it back in and see if that works.

    Greetings, davidc02...

Do the symptoms present if you boot into Safe Mode?

Thanks for your reply, I'll give it a shot later tonight, as I'm not home right now.

No problem. If the symptoms disappear in Safe Mode then that would indicate some 3rd-party cause. Maybe a re-install of your video driver package, any mouse control software, etc. Let us know.

Also if this is recent, use a restore point to go back to one cursor.

Ok not happening in Safe Mode, I don't have any mouse software. I'm downloading the latest drivers now for my video card.

    So weird.

    Hello,

I remember having this issue but it just went away, I haven't formatted my computer, the major thing I've done was upgrading to 8.1, but sadly I don't remember if that's when the issue went away. Sorry for not updating the thread when it was fixed.

It could have been video driver related or something else, I haven't uninstalled anything in the last couple of years heh.

    Best regards.
