So, ages back I posted about an odd issue where my wireless would sporadically disconnect and freeze my PC.

The issue seems to have reared its head again, and I still haven't had any luck at all solving it. I'll have absolutely no problems for weeks, even a month, but then it's right back to seizing after almost precisely ten or twenty minutes connected. It freezes, I force a restart, and everything is perfectly fine thereafter.

    Hi

Is the PC the same specs are your signature line still?

If you plug in via Ethernet all is ok? so just Wireless is the issue?

    Have you reset the router/modem?
What Router/Modem make and model do you have, is it still the Netgear N600?

Check for firmware updates for your model router.

I would try this and see if it works, has worked in many cases for similar issue.... open a Command Prompt (CMD) window, Start > Run > type CMD and hit enter (do be in the admin logon though)

Then type netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled and hit enter and reboot and reboot router and try.

Sorry for the delay in getting back here...
    - Specs unchanged.
    - Going wired is unfortunately not an option at the time, though it will be soon.
    - Have reset the router and modem a couple of times recent for different issues. Hardware's still the same.
    - No sign of firmware updates.

What's that command do, before I kick it off?

    Hi

What that command does it stop the automatic tuning of a data internet connection from Windows to the router, in some cases the routers software is not fully compatible with a specific Windows version so can cause connection issues, I had this with an oldish Netgear router and Windows 7, once I run that command the router worked ok.

You can always try the command and if not working just add enabled to the end instead of disabled.

Also what I would check is to see if the Wireless driver on your pc is going into hibernation, hence the freeze, to do this go into Device Manager look for Network Adapters and then open the properties for your Wireless device and click Power Management tab and untick the "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" (or words to that effect!
