    Message on BSOD

A problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
Check to see if you have adequate disc space. If a driver is identified in the stop message, disable driver or check for updates.Try changing video adaptors.
    Check for BIOS updates.
Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.

Actions Taken so far:Network related drivers Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller Name & Realtek RTL8190 802.11n Wireless LAN (Mini-)PCI NIC. Removed, then scanned PC for for hardware devices....items reinstalled drivers updated........still getting BSOD when attempting to upload attachments or files!!!!

Another item within network besides Realtec was an item termed Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport adaptor
I didnt touch this and attempts to update driver were met with red line warnings from Windows??
On visiting Microsoft site to see what item was I noted many people are having problems

So the problem started after you installed the Canon driver?

Can you uninstall or disable that driver temporarily, to see if the problem goes away?

First thing I did was system restore..no improvement.

Then removed all MP drivers (printer MP499) also removed printer. On attempting upload of attachments or files, did NOT get BSOD instead PC instantly shut down to black screen F1 set up and F12.PC easily restarted from "start windows normally" or "safe mode screen".

Whilst printer was removed went into safe mode and did further restore. No improvement.

reinstalled printer and software, updated drivers.Back to BSOD when attempting uploads/attachments etc.

Apologies should have included this in actions taken in original post!

Caliban I don't need no steenkin' title!

    Greetings, caskin...

The ksecdd.sys causing the crash is the Kernel Security Support Provider Interface and is an integral Windows system file. Do you have a valid Windows installation disk? If so, I suggest you run a System File Check (SFC) to attempt to repair that file - it may have been damaged and/or corrupted by the printer installation/uninstallation process.

That ain't good. If you use a web-based email client, have you tried a different browser? For that matter, what are you using as an email program - maybe something's amiss there?

Did you install the Canon driver from the disk that came with your printer, or did you download the latest driver from the Canon site?

If you installed from disk, then try installing the latest driver from the Canon website.
