    Hello I need help.

About a week or two ago I was using Google chrome and I was on the iGoogle webpage. I got a pop up that said iGoogle not responding and it asked if I wanted to kill it. I pressed the close button by accident and I know that should have pressed the X button. Anyways since then my laptop will randomly, in any window that is opened, start typing the letter n over and over until I shut my laptop off using the power button. It will also do this where I have to put my password in after my screen goes into sleep mode. I have followed the steps to remove malware from my computer but to problem still presists. The only program I could not run was MGTools. Every time I try to download it google chrome does not recognize the like from this site. I will upload my logs from the other programs though. Please help me. I am operating with windows 7 on a Lenovo Think Pad.

    Thanks,
    Breedinggea

I see no concerns in those logs.
The info that file contains is important. Have you tried using other browsers such as Internet Explorer, FireFox, or Opera?

Do you have access to another pc that you could use to download it to a thumbdrive or burn to CD, then copy it to your pc?

If not, see if you can download and run the below:

    Please download OTL by OldTimer.
    • Save it to your desktop.
    • Double click on the OTL icon on your desktop. (If running Vista or Win7 right-click and select Run as Administrator)
    • Check the "Scan All Users" checkbox.
    • Check the "Standard Output".
    • Change the setting of "Drivers" and "Services" to "All"
    • Copy the text in the code box below and paste it into the Customs Scans/Fixes text-field.
      Code:
      activex
      netsvcs
      drives
      %systemdrive%\*.*
      %systemroot%\*. /mp /s
      [/LIST]
      • Now click the Run Scan button.
      • Two reports will be created:
        • OTL.txt <-- Will be opened
        • Extra.txt <-- Will be minimized
      • Attach both OTL.txt and Extras.txt to your next message. (See how to attach)

I will see if I can get it to download from another computer. I tried to download the OTL but the only one that would run off the link was OTL.com: http://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/OTL.com. The other links could not be opened. When i tried to run the OTL.com it allowed me to click run but it did not do anything after that.

:confused Did you have any success downloading, transferring and then running any of the OTL extensions?

I was unable to run any OTL extensions but I figured out what my problem was. I had an old wireless keyboard that was in a closet and from time to time my computer would pick up the signal and the N key was pressed. Thanks for all your help. Sorry for having you spend time on an issue as simple as a keyboard issue.

Thanks for getting back to me, breedinggea.
    :-D

Please do this cleanup from the tools we had used-
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. It provides no "real-time" protection unless you purchase it and does not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. Go back to step 4 of the READ ME and re-enable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    3. If running Vista or Win 7, it is time to make sure you have re-enabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    4. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    5. Go to the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and/or deleted.
    7. If you are running Win 7, Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures pointed to by step 6 of the READ ME
for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    8. After doing the above, you should work through the below link:
