Remote desktop connection with a friend? Help!

Me and my friend both have windows 7. I'm trying to remote into his desktop because he is having trouble going into his firewall and fowarding ports. I was wondering how I would go about doing that? I looked at a few tutorials but they really werent that helpfull. We both have the box checked to allow invites and send invites in all that. I was confused which ip i would use? his routers ip or his modems ip. I tried both last night and neither would connect he said he didnt see anything on his end. Im just wondering what im doing wrong.

 

I'd use teamviewer.com no ports, simple.

where do i find and access remote desktop connection on my computer, i want to connect to my neighbors computer to fix a problem. what are the steps to successfully connecting pc to pc...........

 

If both computers have Teamviewer installed, then it is simply exchanging security codes with the other user as it utilizes a secure, privatized connection.

 

ugood download teamviewer. It's pretty self explanitory. Mad easy to use. I downloaded it and then had my friend download it. and all you gotta do is exchange id numbers and connect. Pretty much that simple.

 

You do not even have to do that. You just need the other persons email, or you can log into their computer through the online portal at teamviewer.com, if you do not have teamviewer installed on your computer, or on the computer you are using at that time.
