    Hi Guys

I downloaded Microsoft Office 2010 and then realised that is was only a trial so then uninstalled it, however, some components still exist on my PC and pop up when I dont want then to (eg. syncing icloud notes).

I already have Office 2003 and this still works, I have Windows 7.

In my control panel Office 2010 still shows and will not uninstall although is shows zero bites.

    Any ideas folks?

    Jackie:)

Goldenskull I can't follow the rules

I would try to remove it all from safe mode.

Then remove all the Office 2010registry keys in the registry.

And then look in the Folder called--> %appdata% to see if there are any hidden files in there.

Hiya guys, I have done this and deleted all relevent files but it still shows in my list of installed software (still unable to delete) and when I have tried to open a certain office photo editor it says error and says it is starting to install something from office 2010.

Goldenskull - I am unsure how to do this 'Then remove all the Office 2010registry keys in the registry'

I dont know what I am really doing, but should I re-install Office 2010?

    Cheers guys

    Jx:)

What exactly means "unable" - what happens when you try?

Have you tried to restore your computer to a point prior to the Office 2010 trial install?

Hi guys, when I click on Office 2010 in Programs + Features - 'uninstall', it thinks about it for 2 seconds then absolutely nothing happens at all.

Also, which is weird is the 'installed date' shows yesterday's date:confused and it was installed several weeks/a few months ago.

With regards 'restore' to an earlier date, it only goes back as far as 3rd March and I know it was installed prior to that, there appears no way I can see to pick an earlier date, I would be happy to restore it if I could.

I dont know if this is relevent but I have important Windows updates ready to be installed with regards Office 2010 which I have avoided to install.

For info: I tried the 'Fix it' and after it did it it said that it had not worked. Options after that look a bit complicated.

Would restoring it back be the best option? If you guys think yes, I just need guidance as to how to do this.

I'll await further assistance before I bugger anything else up, doh!

Again, follow the instructions in the part I highlighted. The only part that makes it difficult, is you not taking the time to go through the instructions to do the fix. That is only more that I can say from here, due to anymore postings are going to state that you need to go through the long process as spelled out in the Microsoft KB article to fix this.
