Windows Update and MSE - Updating Errors Only On Wireless

Hi. No matter where I try (at home or away), or the signal strength, Windows Update and MSE will no longer update on a wireless connection (Telus stick). All other programs update easily on wireless (SuperAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, Spyware Blaster, CCleaner, Picasa, Irfanview, Open Office, FireFox).

Attached are pics of the errors.

Windows Update and MSE are the only programs that suddenly have an issue with the wireless. I've tried a couple fixes from the internet, but didn't work as this is the second time I'm experiencing this. Before I update them on my cable connection, I wanted to come here first to see if you can help me with a fix.
    Thanks!
    :)

The first box says Windows updates have never been installed.
The error 80072EFE and Window updates is associated with malware.

    I suggest you go here

and go through the malware removal before anything else is done in this software thread.

Yeah, after using one of the fixes I found through Google, I noticed it says that now. I figured it was part of the fixit thingy and cleared it off, like a clean slate to start over.

Logs do not belong here. They get posted where the malware fighters do their work.

Start a thread there. Point them to the logs here. Perhaps someone can move them to the proper section of the forum.

Ok, no malware found. Problem still remains. All programs able to update, except for Windows Update and MSE on wireless connection.

I tried another "Microsoft Fix It" option, still no luck.

I've tried all that I could from the above link, except for the "Advanced Users" section (not comfortable going there). Still no luck.

    - Turned off Windows Firewall.
    - Uninstalled MSE, SpywareBlaster, MalwareBytes, SpywareBlaster
    - Reinstalled Wireless stick
    Still no updates.

    - I connected the laptop to my home cable connection, updated no problem.
    - Re-installed all the programs and turned Windows Firewall back on.
    - Tried the wireless connection again, no luck.
I'll just have to update these 2 programs with the cable connection, pain in the butt to get at the wire, but oh well! Thanks for the help guys, might be just one of those things, eh? lol

Try to access your router settings, usually http://192.168.1.1 is the address.
Run this from a command prompt:

    Code:
    ipconfig /all
to check your system's default gateway. add the http:// part and resolve in your browser. You'll need the admin acct/password to do any work in there.

Once there, somewhere in your settings, you can change the channel being used. It is probably set to 1 or 11 try changing to 6.

If this doesn't do it, open a thread in the Network Forum and reference this thread...

Hi, I'm not familiar with "router".

I just have a Telus Wireless Stick as mentioned. I plug it into the side of the laptop and press "connect". I've re-installed the stick and checked for updates, but no change. Everything used to update no problem on the stick, no matter the update size or signal strength... just suddenly Windows Updates and MSE can't seem update with the stick, but no problem with cable.
