See here! I'm back to considering the purchase of M$ products again already!

Is this mouse (screenshot) "okay"...it looks from the photo that something is "sticking-out" of the bottom of it...or does that fold-over, or push down inside, please?

    Thanks in advance...

That mouse receiver is suppose to go deeper into one of the holes on the mouse. If that is what you are talking about.Every wireless mouse should have a deeper hole for the mouse receiver.

I have two MS mini mice and the battery (it only takes one) last about 8 months. I turn the mouse off with the little switch on the bottom when I shut off the computer.

If you remove the USB mouse receiver, remember what port it was in and plug it back into the same port.

Thank you plodr...though now I have (sorry) another question:

When you say "mini" (and I suppose they are marketed as such), are they really much different (significantly smaller) than the traditional type/style?

Yes smaller in length to travel well in my netbook cases. But, if you have large hands, you wouldn't want to use a mini mouse. My husband likes normal sized mice. He will tolerate my small mouse when he "borrows" my netbook but he would prefer a larger mouse.

I can't find a size mentioned. From my measurements, my mobile mouse is about 3 1/2" long and my regular Logitech is about 4 1/2" long.

It is a trace narrower but about the same height as my cordless Logitech I use on the desktop computers.

Most men like a bigger mouse, even to the extent of getting an implant. roflmao
