Best way to play music thru wifi

I have a music collection on a PC, and want play the music from it in another part of the house thru wifi.....and have a Samsung Smart TV, Android phone and a older hifi. I can play music from PC to TV, but it doesn't shuffle, and searching is difficult.....a superior app for TV would be best, but app development for smart TVs is poor/slow.

Can anyone provide any other solutions, or ways to control, such as via phone (so as not to have to make expensive purchases)?

 

Thanks, am aware of sonos, but don't really want more equipment when what i have should suffice with proper software that is yet to be created....just that i am thinking way ahead of everybody!!

 

Does the smart TV allow for android apps?

Google Play music would solve a lot of your issues.

 

Android Apps - Not that I know of, though I have heard that there is a samsung music app & spotify available, but can't find and can't get instructions to install/use!?

Google Play requires Android. I know there are some sets out there with it, but I don't follow the scene enough to know which do, and do not.

 

Thanks, i believe android is coming to Samsung TVs, maybe new models, but doubt it would suit mine.
