Thunderbird vs. Foxmail

As I have (VERY unfortunately) acquired several different email addresses over the years (five, at least), and as I have had much trouble with the Thunderbird email-utility that I've utilized for years since having "switched" to Windows 8 on a new laptop (for whatever myriad of reason/reasons), I need to seek-out an alternative.

I would like to know if I should attempt to "remove" Thunderbird first, or wait until after I add another email-utility (?), and also whether anyone is aware of any conflicts, or problems I may incur when switching from T-Bird, to Foxmail, please?

    Thanks in advance...

My recommendation is that you do not remove Thunderbird first. to avoid conflict, you can keep thunderbird closed, i.e. do not launch it. You can then configure another email client, even Windows mail can be used.

Remove old app only after you are comfortable with the new app. Also, do have a backup plan about all your old data.

Thank you very much for your reply. I will do as you recommend.

Question (please) ~ when you say "Windows Mail", I don't suppose this necessarily means "Hotmail" (of which I have two accounts), correct? I think I have to make sure I have some sort of "Live" stuff (software?) on this machine, is that correct, please?

And my "attempts" at any sort of "Backup Plan" seem to be growing worse with time...the screenshot is of what remains from my previous machine with WIN7...it's a bit of a "scattered disaster", from my perspective.
