Use of url blocking, to stop spyware/malware, etc ?

Have tried a combination of OnlineArmor (*.sample.com) and Avast (http://.sample.com*) url blocking, along with MalwareBytes (protection enabled) to stop spyware/malware etc.

But, they still some come thru (I guess) with changes of domain prefixes (please excuse the lack of terminology knowledge) etc.

SuperAntiSpyware offers a service for blocking, but not sure how they would stop such malware/spyware improvisation.

Any suggestions on how to do simply/affordabley (preferably free) ?

    Thanks for the reply.
Think its more of a prevention thing, and more in terms of blocking tracking cookies for 'ad' urls.

Cookies can be cleared by running something such as Ccleaner.

    Thanks for the followup.
Do use Ccleaner, but, unfortunately, cleaning is not the question, and really dont want to 'clean' pswds etc.
SuperAS will remove the 'bad' ones, but how to prevent them from being there ?
OA and Avast url blocking is taking care of some, but others seem to be a bit more tricky.

What cookies exactly? Explain to me.

Generic example/s are in 1st post in this thread, but a specific example would be like http://.advertising.com* (the standard format) at the Avast url blocking tool.

Cookies go hand in hand with the internet. They are beneficial at times, ie: favourite websites, not having to log in every time. Adware cookies and any cookies can be cleared, as I stated, with software such as Ccleaner. There is a method to disable them but this is not advised. It can cause massive annoyances. If you wish to further discuss cookies, you can visit the software forum. :)

    Thanks for the feedback.
Will just keep trying to block (at least works for some adwares) with OA-free and Avast-free, clear weekly with SAS-free, and leave it a that for now.
As u indicated, the main thing is virus, trojan, etc blocking.
Will take a look at your earlier suggestion/s on that.
