    Looking for answer/explanation:
When I open Chrom or IE browsers I find for each opened tab one process,
it is not true for Mozilla Firefox. Is this deliberate or can I decrease No. of these opened processes somehow?
    Thanks

If you don't like FF, you could try Opera. It has only one running process irregardless of the number of tabs...

    Dear AtlBo,
thanks for note about Opera, however my question was not focused to whether I like or dislike any of mentioned browsers, I just wanted to know connections between tabs and processes and whether higher number of processes in this particular case influences upon comp performance.
    Anyway thanks and regards

The number of processes Firefox runs doesn't affect performance. What you will notice, if you have some type of memory monitoring software installed, is pages that contain a lot of graphics will tend to use more memory. If you have a number of those types of pages open, available memory will drop and the browser will slow down as will trying to use other apps or doing other tasks with whatever app(s) you already have open.

The same is basically true with whatever browser you choose to use.

I don't know about IE but would guess it would be the same theory.
For Chrome one tab, one process is deliberate.
Do you know that Chrome has it's own Task Manager

FireFox extension FlashBlock can help reduce the Mem Usage of the plugin-container

    Hello ejemmila.

The multiple processes that you see for open tabs in Internet Explorer is the result of a stability feature added to IE8.
Each open tab is treated as a separate process so that if something "corrupts" what is happening in one tab, it will not
affect any of the other tabs or crash the entire browser. That seems to be the basic intent. The number of new processes will
not increase indefinitely as new tabs are open. There is a limit to how many separate processes will be opened.

Thanks very much for explanation and sorry I knew I should mention my OS and browsers details. Thus back to it:
I use WIN 7 HOME Premium + Service Pack 1 and for all three browsers their last versions
    Best regards
