Music And Flash Drive stick

What is the best way to randomize music on a flash drive stick.I have a mini DVD player that i have that can read and use flash sticks.I use it to play my music at work.

 

Use the shuffle option on the DVD Player.

 

Kinda hard when i don't have a remote

 

Put "random" numbers in front of file names to get the order different. You will have to change these every time you want to randomise the music.

This is about the only option that will work as otherwise the music will be left in order by name.

 

Then spend thirty bucks on a new DVD player. You are employed, right. .rolleyes

 

If it reads by meta tags, it still won't work. Then you need to modify the tags. Although, I think Phantom's solution is the real one

 

He did say he wanted to play the music while at work so this might be up for debate :-D

 

Not sure if this will work, but VLC can be added to the flash drive. Set a random playlist in VLC....

 

But this won't work on a DVD player

 

Hi my mum bought a lcd led tv recently and I wanted to watch a movie through the usb, from my harddrive but they come up as format not supported I also tried on a usb stick and got the same thing im not quite sure what im supposed to do can someone help me I am just getting used to the different formats etc thankyou
